Privacy Policy

What Gevity is

Gevity is a fitness tracking application operated by Adalia Works. We help people track workouts, stay consistent, and optionally connect with coaches or a small circle of friends. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what control you have over it.

What we collect

Information you give us

• Account information: your name, email address, and optionally your phone number (used for SMS-based account recovery).
• Workout data: exercises, weights, reps, sets, cardio sessions, and timestamps you log in the app.
• Preferences: your training frequency, workout split, and goals you set during onboarding.
• Coach connections: if you connect with a coach or a friend, we store that relationship and any permissions you've granted.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: pages visited, features used, session length. Used to improve the app.
• Device information: browser type, operating system, IP address. Standard server log data.

How we use your data

• To operate the app and provide the features you signed up for.
• To send you transactional emails (password resets, account confirmations). We use Resend to deliver these.
• To send SMS messages if you've opted in to phone verification or recovery. We use Twilio for this.
• To show advertising on the free plan. Ads are served through Apple's AdKit when the iOS app launches. We do not sell your data to advertisers — ad targeting is handled by Apple's platform, not by us.
• To improve Gevity based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your personal data to anyone, ever.
• We do not share your workout data with third parties except as described in this policy (coaches you've connected, services needed to operate the app).
• We do not show your weights, rep counts, or any performance metrics to other users — including friends and coaches — without your explicit permission.

Coaches and connections

If you connect with a coach, you control exactly what they can see and do. By default, coaches can view your workout history and suggest adjustments. You can restrict or remove access at any time from your account settings. If you disconnect a coach, their access is revoked immediately.

If you share your activity with friends, they see only that you worked out — not your weights, reps, or any specific performance data.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we're required to retain it for legal or fraud-prevention purposes.

To delete your account, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, or email us at privacy@gevity.fit.

Security

Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We use industry-standard security practices, but no system is perfectly secure — if you suspect unauthorised access to your account, contact us immediately.

Children

Gevity is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it promptly.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you by email or in-app before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version.
